I think I may have jumped the gun, because this was not a great episode with which to sample the new series. The whole thing felt like it was recorded on a time-lapse camera - Kitt has a virus, oh noes, lots of people running around, Sarah uploads the antivirus, cue UST, and CUT! Where was the emotion? I love the new Knight Rider. I do. I would love to see a second season. I would.

But I also recognize that not every episode has been, um. Yeah, what are the words I'm looking for? Oh, right. Good Television.

Tonight's episode = LOVE. Just, love.

KITT I think can finally be written as Kitt. He thought and acted for himself, he's no longer mere robot, he's a person. This makes me happy beyond all reason.

Last week's "Next Week On..." noted their selling point as Tiki Barber as a guest star. I've gotta say, though, that ( their guest star didn't really do much starring. [SPOILERS] )

Here we get the first episode of KR as the new Foundation, working supposedly like the old one. From what some of the summaries gave forth, I was expecting something a little different. How many weeks of hype went into this ep? Three, I think. The KvK of the new millenium! An asspile of CGI previews, Peter Cullen being brought on to voice. The clips they aired for the "Next week on..." were spellbinding. Parting the curtain, declaring Kitt must die! I was eagerly bouncing in my seat for this episode. So then ( this week comes. [SPOILERS] )

I was really looking forward to the episode this week, finally we'll see KARR, and he's a robot, and Peter Cullen's voicing him, this'll be so cool!
